About Me

My photo

We are an Army family! Miles was diagnosed with Autism at the age of 6 and he is now 15 years old. Marley is Miles' Autism Service Dog and his best friend. This dynamic duo has been together for 5 years and look forward to many more adventures!

For God has not given us a spirit of fearfulness, but one of power, love and sound judgement.

Miles' Projects

A man who endures trials is blessed,
because when he passes the test
he will receive the crown of life
that God has promised
to those who love Him.
James 1:12

Mom calls it hands on "life skills"
but Dad & I call it FUN

Miles & his dad have been busy creating many great projects.

Put on the safety glasses & take a tour around the workshop….

MINI FRIDGE CABINET
Mom needed a cabinet for her mini fridge

so Miles got busy building

his surprise for Mom

& when it was finished

Mom LOVED her new cabinet…..
it even doubles as a place to store Marley's food

PUZZLE PIECES
Miles & his dad decided to make puzzle pieces

which really fit together

or can be 1 individual piece

as a way for Miles to say Thank You
to his therapist for all of her hard work

JEEP DECALS
Miles likes "fixing" up the Jeep
& decided it needed to have a proper GI Joe vehicle name

It is called A.W.E Stryker

He couldn't leave the front "unfinished"….. YO JOE

JEEP DOOR HOLDERS
With a Jeep the doors must come off for some summer fun
but where do you store those doors?

With Miles' handy dandy door holders of course :)

It comes in a 4 door model

equipped with wheels for easy moving

This is the 2 door model

also equipped with wheels

Hmm….now what about the top?

CRANE
Miles & his dad solved the dilemma of
taking/storing the Jeep top

they built this crane
which takes less time/effort
to get the top off or on

SPARE TIRE COVER
What better place for Advertising?

The boys are visible now

and Miles is happy with the finished product

PARACORD ITEMS
Miles makes these to raise money for other Non-profits
or his therapies not covered by insurance.

                                           Bracelets                                      Keychains

                                                                      Lanyards

Jeep Handles

Maybe the boys will see you at their next fundraising event

SHADOW BOX FOR DAD
Miles helped his dad build a shadow box

for his items from Iraq

MARLEY'S DISH HOLDER
Miles made this for Marley as a Christmas gift

Marley had fun "unwrapping" the gift

but really enjoyed the "treats" it held

Miles also made a dish holder
for one of Marley's friends

she really liked it too

TOMATO CLIMBING "FENCE"
Miles received a tomato plant to grow from
his class field trip & needed something for it to climb.
This is what he made with his dad….

Turned out the "tomato" plant
was actually squash :)

LAUNDRY BASKET SHELVES
Hmmm.....
we need to free up floor space in the laundry room

sounds like a project for Miles & Dad

finished product works really well!

CONSOLE TABLE
A table was needed for a Sunday School classroom
which had a beach theme

& this was the final product

Thanks Miles & Dad for such a creative piece

PLATFORM BED FRAMES

The laundry basket holder started
all kinds of new projects beginning with
our new platform bed frame

you can't have a new bed frame
& not have matching side tables

 & bookshelf

the boys also got a new platform bed frame
with custom built headboard & shelves

FIRE PIT

Miles & his dad helped friends build
a fire pit which was a lot of fun

HOUSE REMODEL

We decided to remodel the kitchen

after verifying the wall wasn't load bearing
Miles had fun helping knock it down

he helped install cabinets, appliances,
ceiling fans & lights

he even painted the barstools our friends gave us

Since Miles was doing a good job painting
he did the "barn" doors for his game room
& installed the hardware

he also helped to make &
paint all the white shelves

along with painting the new bathroom

and he helped to create the new
bathroom vanity & sink

I needed more storage space in the
laundry room so Miles assembled
this shelf unit for me

On the outside of the house
he helped lay pavers

which Marley approved as a good job

& he helped assemble the shed in the backyard

BASKETBALL GOAL

For Christmas he got a basketball goal

Now he can practice at home

he did a great job putting it together

and has enjoyed playing outside more

WALKING DEAD JACKET

Miles wanted a jacket like his favorite character
so wings were created & a friend sewed them on
